If you’ve chanced across Teqtique or happen to follow the website, chances are you’ve been looking up fashion technology, found something you liked or are curious to learn more. ‘Fashion tech’ as it is more commonly called, is a term coined for the groundbreaking new innovation that embodies the mergence between fashion and technology. Quite simply, it’s both technology that is fashionable, but also fashion that is infused with technology whether that be physical products or in software.
As a new term, events, coverage and brands are all relatively new in this space – you’ve likely only started hearing about it last year, but it’s a market that’s moving quickly and one with similarly quick adoption rates. One such ‘new player’ in this space is Interlaced. If you’ve been following us since conception you may remember we interviewed two of their female co-founders to learn more about them and the fashion tech space.
Interlaced are an organization who began with a vision to inspire, educate and communicate developments in this fashion tech space. They, like us, want to accelerate consumer adoption of fashion tech whether that’s wearables, smart clothing or apparel, while also aiming to encourage innovation in fashion houses. Interlaced will produce insightful events, industry reports and news coverage to feed the fashion-tech-curious minds out there.
We’re pleased to announce we’ll be joining Interlaced at their first conference, speaking on September 3rd, 2015 at Corbet Place (part of the Truman Brewery) in Shoreditch, London, on retail channels for the fashion tech industry.
If you’re one of those curious minds who wants to learn more about fashion tech and want to start getting involved in the industry, then this is the place to do it. The event will also feature a catwalk, exhibition, keynote talks and panels, rounding off networking and drinks that go late into the evening! The best way to learn and kick off the SS16 fashion season!
